The owner or person entitled to the custody of a dog impounded shall pay impound fees to the division before such dog is released the following:

(a) Registration or license fee for the current year unless such fee has been previously paid and evidence of paid fee is adequately exhibited; and

(b) Impound fees for first, second, third and subsequent impounds in a one-year period from the date of the first impound. (Ord. 2764 § 1 (part), 1996: Ord. 2474 § 1 (part), 1990)
