Chapter 23.08 SPECIAL (S) USES
23.08.110 Residential care facilities.
Board and care homes for ambulatory residents, where no medical care is
provided, are subject to all applicable standards for multiple-family dwellings
in addition to the provisions of this section.
(a) Permit Requirement. No
land use permit is required when six or fewer persons are provided
twenty-four-hour care in a single-family residence. Minor use permit approval is
required for more than six boarders, whether in a single-family residence or a
larger facility.
(b) Minimum Site Area. Twenty thousand square feet is the
minimum site area for more than six boarders.
(c) Fencing. Any play areas
for children are to be fenced to prevent uncontrolled access to and from the
site.
(d) Parking. For facilities with more than six boarders, parking is to
be provided as set forth in Section 23.08.108(d).
(e) Board and Care Homes
-- Additional Standards. Board and care homes for ambulatory residents, where no
medical care is provided, are also subject to all applicable standards for
