Chapter 23.08 SPECIAL (S) USES
23.08.244 Temporary off-site construction yards.
A storage yard for construction supplies, materials or equipment for
temporary use during a construction project (which may include a temporary
office pursuant to Section 23.08.246(d)) is allowable on a site not adjacent to
the construction site subject to the provisions of this section. The temporary
storage of construction materials on or adjacent to a construction site is
subject to Section 23.08.024(a) (accessory storage -- building materials and
equipment).
(a) Permit Requirement. A temporary construction yard may be
authorized by the same development plan approval which allows the project being
served by the construction yard; or through minor use permit approval in all
other cases.
(b) Site Design Standards. To be determined through the review
and approval process for either the project development plan proposals, or
through the minor use permit approval, in addition to the site design standards
as set forth in Section 23.08.146(c) (storage yards -- site design
standards).
(c) Site Restoration Required. The site of a temporary
construction yard shall be restored to its original vegetative and topographic
state within thirty days after completion of construction. Proper site
restoration within another period of time shall be approved by the planning
director. Prior to establishment of the use, all site restoration shall be
guaranteed as set forth in Section 23.02.060 (guarantees of performance). (Ord.
